Madrid, Spain — Argentine composer Julia Sanchez presents “Eros Pagano (Acoustic),” a new version of the work that originally closed her EP En Esencia.
The original piece, composed in two movements with real-time electronic processing, featured tenor saxophone and the spoken voice of the eponymous poem by Chubut-born poet Giovana Recchia, whose work served as the inspiration for the composition. This new version condenses the piece into a single continuous track, without electronics or spoken text, and has been rewritten for baritone saxophone.
The recording was performed by saxophonist Luis Federico Jaureguiberry at Crest Estudios, with mixing and mastering by Jorge Giménez. The cover artwork was created by Cristian Cocchiararo.
“Eros Pagano (Acoustic)” is now available on all major streaming platforms. https://open.spotify.com/s/9A0cxXw
